EIT Health Innovation Summit

From February 23 to 25, 2015, renowned national and international stakeholders from industry, medical research, healthcare and politics come together in the Medical Valley EMN, one of the most economically powerful and scientifically active medical engineering clusters in the world.

At the Medical Valley Summit, current projects from the region and from all over the world will be presented with lots of opportunities for networking and finding joint projects aimed at making prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation more efficient and effective. The conference is split into a national day focusing on regional activities and an international day focusing on projects with Brazil and China. Please take a look at the program for more details.

We are happy to announce Roland Auschel, member of the managing board of adidas AG as one of our key note speakers. After that, there will be sessions focusing on the topics “Healthcare IT”, “Implants/ Transplants and Bone Tissue Materials”, “Healthcare meets Games” and “In-vitro-Diagnostics”. Following the presentations, we will give an overview on future funding possibilities and invite our guests to a get-together for networking and further discussions.

As part of the EIT Health Consortium, Medical Valley and the FAU University will jointly host the official “EIT Health Innovation Summit”. We welcome our national and international members of the EIT Health Consortium as well as interested guests to get an impression and an overview on our goals, strategy, partners and funding possibilities regarding EIT Health.

One of Medical Valley’s biggest projects is the implementation of an international infrastructure with key markets for our members. Being our most important strategic partners, Brazil and China show big potential regarding scientific and industrial collaboration projects which will be presented in the afternoon. It’s a great opportunity to hop on board while we try to make the world of medical technology a little smaller.

On Feb. 25th morning, there will be an internal presentation and discussion of the workshop results for all EIT Health Members. In addition, ZiMT will provide company tours on request to all participants of the Medical Summit.
