22. Annual Meeting of the European Society for Computing and
Technology in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (ESCTAIC)
12-15. October 2011

„From Vision to Product“ is the motto of this year’s annual meeting of ESCTAIC, for the first time back in Erlangen since 1997. International experts from industry, research and medicine will exchange on topics of bioengineering, decision support, eLearning and human factors. The meeting is under patronage of Prof. Dr. Dr. Schüttler and Prof. Dr. Prokosch.

The European Society for Computing and Technology in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (ESCTAIC) dates back to 1989 when a small group of technology and computing enthusiasts decided to organize a first exchange forum for clinical anaesthesiology and technical disciplines, electronics, engineering and ergonomics. Since then 21 successful meetings with an average of 100-120 participants have been held all over Europe attracting participants from all over the world - not only from America and Australia, but also from Asia and the Middle East. We are happy and honoured to organize and host the 22nd Annual Meeting of ESCTAIC at the university hospital in Erlangen, Germany between the 12th and 15th of October 2011. This year's conference is under the motto "From Vision to Product". The meeting is jointly organized by the Department for Anaesthesiology (Prof. Dr. Dr. Schüttler) and the Chair of Medical Informatics (Prof. Dr. Prokosch).

At the core of the society is the informal exchange of ideas and experience between researchers, physicians, and industry. We would like to invite you to participate as exhibitor, sponsor or participant in this vibrant group of enthusiasts.
